| First on the docket this month was the annual Duck Race fund raiser against child abuse - The yellow rubber ducks were dumped from a huge cargo container off the bridge near Alton Baker Park, and lazily float down to the Ferry Street Bridge where random ducks are picked out of the river for the fund-raiser drawing - As in previous years none of us won any of the prizes in the drawings... |
What with the now cold weather, our Thursday outings have taken an indoor bent - the first one was a Game Night where the initial game was Poker - Being novices this was more a game of learning what the various hands are. Another indoor outing was baking cookies and decorating them with loads of sugar frosting - A dental nightmare. Then an evening or carving pumpkins in preparation for Halloween...
