My Grandma Nagai has been one of the most important women in my life. When I was a little girl, each time I saw her I would want to be like her more and more. She has done so much in her life. She is always busy baking something for someone. Grandma would make the most wonderful foods with her fruits from her back yard. She would first can her peaches and apricots. She would make jam and jelly out of her apricots, blackberries, and raspberries. She also made orange marmalade. Whether it was her cookies, her home made fruit leather, or her cakes she would let us kids decorate (them) every Easter. She always made sure we grandchildren had our treats. If I wanted a piece of gum or a Pepsi in a tall bottle, I knew grandma would be the person to run to because she would do anything for her grandchildren.
