| There aren't many images from this early period of Barbara and Gordon's journey, in part because they were so head-over-heels in love it didn't occur to them to take many photos, and Gordon was just beginning in his love affair with camera and lens - It later took over and ushered in a way of life behind the camera when son Paul was born. But photographs aside, there are a wealth of great memories from this time... |
These are photos of the two at the Wesley Foundation Methodist Student Center at UC Berkeley, and some in Barbara's apartment just north of campus. They spent as much time together as they could, and when they were apart wrote those love notes that in retrospect are kind of cutesy and maybe even embarrassing. Early on they visited family, and occasionally practiced parenthood with nephews and nieces... |
