| Venice actually had two Jog-a-Thons this year, one at ATA and one here at Parker Elementary. Venice's parents made the transfer in order to find a more challenging program for her. It was a considered decision, one that turned out to be a most fortuitous move, and Venice and parents are most happy. Good friend Shelby also made the transfer to Parker from ATA for similar reasons. It does now mean that Venice has a bit of a trip in the mornings to get to school... |
This was her first day at her new school - a Jog-a-Thon to fund raise on her first day. She had visited the school earlier and had met her new teacher and her classmates, so that helped with the transition. After a hard separation as her mom and we left after the Jog-a-Thon, the school secretary called to relay the message that at recess a number of the girls waited outside class and invited Venice to play with them - such a nice welcoming... |
