These photos are from a day when Jiichan Gordon took a day off from his whirlwind retirement regimen to help paint Joey's bedroom. Pappa-san Chris had laid down the undercoat - the primer - and had put up two test swatches of yellow paint. Jiichan came up to help paint the walls and ceiling yellow. Due to the caution around subjecting intra-uterine Joey to paint fumes, Mamma-san didn't participate in the painting, and stayed away in the other parts of the house.

The best laid plans, and all that stuff - it turns out that the semi-gloss latex enamel paint needs an over-night drying period, and not the 1-2 hours we had thought. So, Jiichan could only help put up one coat of the yellow. But, hey - it went quickly, and we had a great time talking and stuff...
The final set of photos were taken by Mamma-san Diana of Pappa-san Chris putting up the wallpaper border, and of the new furniture and new crib, the latter from both sets of grandparents...
