On Sunday, February 18th, our extended family went aboard the Check Mate out of Monterey, CA, to deposit a wreath in the ocean off the coast near Carmel in celebration of Cindy's life - it was to be a long slow sailing, but the captain shortened it to about an hour ride out and back because of heavy seas. Still, it was a moving moment as David held the wreath aloft, and tossed it into the waters just outside of Monterey Bay - each of us dealt with our sorrow in different ways, but the spirit of Cindy was in the midst and kept our hearts full...
We ended the day at Abalonetti's restaurant at Old Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey for a feast in celebration of Cindy...
