I boarded the bus from Seattle, that had stopped at two cities before hitting Eugene - there were five of us that got on here. Misa Joo, one of the Eugene-ites, had pulled together a dinner of the five of us the Tuesday before leaving on the pilgrimage, this to meet and start getting to know each other. We had dinner at a local Chinese restaurant, where some in our family had had some stomach problems from eating their food...! Well, I survived dinner that night, and the food was tasty enough... |
Bus travel doesn't lend itself to meeting everyone along for the ride, so I'm afraid I didn't meet everyone on the bus, and only got to know a few of them over the course of the three days of the pilgrimage. We travelled close to three hours, with one rest stop, arriving in Klamath Falls, the location of our home for the weekend. We were housed in the dorms of the Oregon Institute of Technology, recently let out for the summer... |
