Tears of the Dragon

~ May 7, 2009 ~

On the 7th of this month Venice's 1st grade class gave a performance of Tears of the Dragon, a one act play of suspense, intrigue, and jolly fun. It involved a dragon, for Pete's sake...! - It was but 12 minutes long, a blessing in disguise, for sure, as it relieved parents and family of having to sit through hours of more plays if the whole school had done the program... Venice broke a leg, as they say in show business, and had a ball, as apparently did the rest of her class - They all did superb jobs. Parents and family were most impressed, and could hardly await the reviews in the morning paper. Well, that last part was a stretch of the imagination, but it was good enough to receive a superlative commentary by a reviewer...
