Morro Bay ~ August, 2011

We were fortunate this year through the diligence and persistence of Steven in getting a group camp site. We've tried over the years to do so, but hadn't been successful til this year. Thanx to Steven for his number-punching finger on the redial button on the phone. It was very nice having the whole site to ourselves, and not having to worry about walking through some neighbor's camp site, or worring our noise was bothering anyone....Weather was cloudy at first, and there was a stiff wind at times making for a level of chill - but the sun came out at the end and gave us a spectacular view to the southeast . We also had a full moon that rose over the local mountain to the south - Stunning... Once again the fishing was nada, and this year we didn't even get out to the beaches once to try - Mike and Steven went out on a friend's boat one morning, but as it had trouble once out to the fishing grounds they had to turn around and return with but one fish - This year's fish fry was ala a local fish market. Rosie's side of the family came with more members this year, and it was a treat seeing those we remember from previous years and meeting some new faces. We also met Miles for the first time, and what a treat for us grandparent types - Not only was Miles a treat, but so was Gabriel, or Gabe as he is known - Gabe was such a happy-go-lucky treat it was all the more fun being in camp...
