Sheldon Library Juggler

June 2010

Every summer the Eugene library system holds a summer reading program for school-aged children that includes a variety of special entertainment programs on library sites such as magic shows and jugglers. Today for our Granny and Jiichan outing we visited the Sheldon Community Library off of Coburg road on the north side of the Willamette River where a juggler was set to perform his feats of having things fly through the air... He performed a flawless routine that set the crowd a giggling and applauding his deft moves - his schick is he's a stilt-walker, standing 15 feet in the air towering over his audience - eyes rapt and wide, mouths sometimes agape, and intense focused attention as he moves about tossing things into the air deftly catching them only to propel them again in defiance of gravity - it was a toss-up whether it was good or excellent entertainment...
