| This month saw two solo Jiichan outings, one for Xander and one for Casey. Teiya was down with a bad cold, and wasn't available to go out with Xander, and Venice lost a privilege and wasn't available to go out with Casey. We still had a grand time of it, with Casey opting for a visit to the Science Factory near the University's Autzen Stadium, the Factory being a favorite destination for him, and Xander choosing a day at Amazon Park, also known affectionately as Dinosaur Park - Xander is all boy, and full of energy that requires a lot just to keep up with him... |
The exhibits at the Science Factory are currently geared around engineering in some way, with opportunities to build miniature bridges to observe stress loads, and explore options of energy consumption and conservation. Xander took to all the climbing structures, including dear old dinosaur, putting himself on top of, on and around and under, the various of them. He met a friend who initially claimed loudly that he could do more things than Xander because he was six, but was put in his place when Xander jumped off the back of the dinosaur from a standing position... |
