| Morro Bay this year involved a major trek for those of us from parts in the north, involving two days of heavy driving. This was for Barbara and Gordon, who brought Casey, and Diana who brought Venice and Xander. Of course, Charlott and Christian and kids came even farther, so kudos to them for even more arduous traveling. It was good being back in Morro Bay after missing last year - the weather treated us nicely, the food was great as always, but the fishing sucked...! - I remember Hank telling us that he caught a ton of fish after we left the year before - where have all the fish gone...? |
It was good seeing everyone again and catching up on happenings of the past couple of years. All the young ones are growing up into young adults with exciting lives, and the wee ones added a nice treat for everyone - it was neat seeing Donovan for the first time, and Matsu and Matthew - it was also nice to hear the pitter patter of little feet in the dust, and the delicious munching on tasty S'mores at the campfire, and thankfully the wee one crying in the middle of the night was in someone else's campsite...! - Actually, I slept through it all... |
