Merry Makers ~ Summer 2008

Tracy and Scott hosted a second summer gathering of the Merry Makers, this one including the Nagai-Beyer-Bailey clan from the north country, recent transplants to the city of Eugene, Oregon. While it involved a major trek for Barbara and Gordon, and Diana and kids, to Morro Bay the previous weekend for the annual Nagai-Tanaka family reunion and then to Vallejo for the party, and from Eugene to Vallejo for Tori and Paul and kids, it was worth the effort to spend time with old friends...
The weather was good, bordering on the warmish side, but a slight breeze helped keep it cool enough that we kept our heads - we also didn't exert any so that helped. Mosquitoes were noticeably absent from the gathering, a welcome state of affairs...
The children, as they did the previous time, played and had a ball, involving parents and aunts and uncles in a magical time - it was great because of friendships that have lasted for a lifetime, and unto the next generation... |
