This was our first Easter in our new homes here in Eugene, and for this household it involved coloring eggs, hiding them in the back yard on the day, and then the hunt - the forecast was for rain, but it held off and we were just fine....Last year we celebrated Easter at Janet's in Fresno, as we'd done for ages on end. A new time, a new place, and family moves on...
The next California family affair will be Morro Bay come August down the coast of California...

The coloring of Easter eggs began on the Wednesday before when Casey and Venice spent part of their Jiichan Outing day coloring eggs at the house. I missed capturing photos of them doing this, but made up for it when Xander and Teiya came the next day for their Thursday at Granny's - the hunt was held in the Panorama Drive back yard amidst the rhododendrons and gravel pathways, and then there was tallying time to account for the real and plastic eggs while the children counted their money and chocolate candy, and then it was time for cake... |
