Family

December 2010

Our trek this year to get our Christmas trees took the extended family out to a tree farm south and east of the city, a farm we first visited last year. The weather was mildly cold, but the sun was out so it warmed up enough for it to be a pleasant venture. It didn't take long for each family to find their trees, and while we all had the farm's long-handled hand saws, there was a friendly elf roaming the farm with his trusty chainsaw who assisted in cutting down our trees with swift cuts avoiding sorely aching backs - and this service was gratis - Thank you Santa... In a near disaster, someone in error almost made off with the tree Diana and Chris had cut down, and only because Paul had just seen a family haul a tree to the parking lot that Chris made contact with them and avoided a loss - The family was properly embarrassed. Then the grandchildren helped decorate Granny and Jiichan's tree, and on another outing went to Emerald Lanes for a line of bowling. The end image is a 500 piece puzzle many worked on during the month...
