| We took a side trek to Crater Lake on our way to Ashland where we were to meet with dear friends from south of the border from Berkeley. The Lake's website indicated the north entrance was still closed due to the winter snows, but upon arrival at the north entrance it was snow-free, so we lucked out and missed an extended entry route to the south entrance... |
The Lake was pristine in the morning sun, the air crisp and sharp, the sunlight brilliant. There were patches of snow dirtied by a stretch of time after the latest snow fall, a smudgy brown overlay. There were also brilliant patches of white white snow that dazzled the eyes - On our return home we encouraged any and everyone to take the trip to see this national wonder.. |
