We were graced with a visit by Kelly and Todd Lohman-Baesen, and their two children, Tristan and Skye, at Casa Panorama, which served as base for them as they visited with us and explored the city. On one of the days Paul took Kelly on a tour of Eugene, while Todd visited with us - As he had already seen much of the city when he visited a year ago, he opted to let Kelly have her personal experience of our city. Kelly and Todd spent part of another day roaming the environs by themselves to get more of a feel for Eugene. Diana and Chris then hosted a full gathering around dinner on Friday night where we did some catching up. The two flowering trees are in the neighborhood, the white one a flowering cherry in our front yard... |
For the second time in as many years Granny and Jiichan hosted our now annual Easter Egg Hunt in our back yard. Because of the slightly damp weather, part of the hunt was held downstairs in the voluminous basement, and part indoors - the rains did hold off long enough that we were able to do the main part of the hunt in the backyard. Unfortunately Jiichan forgot where he'd hidden some of the indoor eggs, so that made for some interesting attempts at recall. We took family portraits in front of the flowering cherry tree on the front lawn, and ended the month with several Jiichan outings to the pottery store, and to Skinner Butte Park with Casey and Venice and Xander and Teiya....We also celebrated Venice's Seventh Birthday... |
