| We - Tori and Paul and kids, Diana and Chris and kids - started out the month with a visit to Seattle, WA, visiting with the northern elements of the Nagai-Borgen family - Charlott and Christian and kids, and Jennifer and Paul and kids. While there, Jiichan took Xander and Teiya on a mini-Jiichan outing walk. Then, Diana and Venice and Xander, and Granny and Jiichan taking Casey with them, made a long driving trek to Morro Bay near San Luis Obispo in California for the annual Nagai-Tanaka family reunion - it was good seeing family, good touching bases to catch up on children growing, and eating way too much... |
We found a great beach for water and sand play, but the fishing this year sucked major...! The grandchildren also spent time on the cove beach around Morro Rock, where there was a gentle beach with lots of beach sand, and neat rocks to climb....On our return travels we all stopped at the home of Tracy and Scott in Vallejo, where Tori and Paul and Teiya joined us all for a Merry Maker's summer gathering...
We celebrated Granny's birthday hosted by Diana and Chris - Diana made a fun meatloaf birthday cake with vegetable filler, and mashed potato frosting decorated with catsup writing... |
