Xander is quickly becoming quite the artist - vocal and movement artist, that is - he loves to sing and move to the music of the Wiggles, and does a fairly good job of it. He is also becoming quite the character, too, as he demonstrates by sticking the lollypop stick into his nose during a portrait session, and giggling over it. He enjoyed the presence of both sets of grandparents - Granny and Jiichan, and RooRoo and Poppi - for his second birthday celebration. This was indeed a treat for our big and happy birthday boy...

Xander's birthday had been postponed from the originally scheduled date in January by a conflict with a memorial service for Jiichan's sister-in-law set for the same weekend - it was to be a celebration of the Three January Guys, Xander, Casey, and Jiichan. This month's celebration made up for the missed date in January. The theme was of space, planets, space ships, and astronauts - Mommy Diana made this neat cake with a crushed Oreo-CoolWhip frosting, and while the thick frosting made for havoc with the slightly crumbly cake, it tasted out of this world, quite appropriate for the party's theme... |
