Early this month Jiichan took Venice and Casey to Putter's for some indoor golf and arcade games. Then, Granny brought out the family volcano, and with Venice and Xander's help witnessed the volcano's eruptions in various colors. After Jiichan had strung the Christmas tree lights, all four grandchildren helped Granny decorate the tree, hanging ornaments and then posing in front of the decorated tree.

On Christmas Day everyone gathered at Venice's home and the four grandchildren opened more presents to the delight of all, including the adults. One of Venice's presents was a book on Origami, Japanese paper folding - Diana helped Venice fold a butterfly. Then, at the end of the month, Granny and Jiichan had visitors from the Bay Area - Betty Carol and Norm Smith of the Merry Maker's group, who spent 4 days through New Years Day. Venice attached herself to Betty Carol, who taught her how to play Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater on the piano. Venice learned the tune, and when parents came to pick her up, played a concert, complete with ending bow... |
