| Venice and Casey often spend time together reading and studying a variety of subjects - here they are learning about the Universe. They also love spending time on play structures at their respective schools - Arts and Technology Academy, and Crest Elementary. They play well together, and at times have moments more contemplative than physically active, which is a nice thing to observe. One afternoon Venice and Xander spent time with Granny and Jiichan while parents ran some errands, and we went to Party City near Market-of-Choice to get some party favors and decorations in anticipation of Halloween - for example to decorate pumpkins, and bake and decorate some holiday cookies... |
Venice loves to play at Casey's school, where they discovered a tall tree stump, which they found a way to climb - Jiichan didn't help or hinder their exploration of the stump, and they ended up triumphantly atop the natural obelisk. Then for Halloween the entire Eugene Nagai-Bailey-Beyer families went to Thistledown Farms, where everyone hunted for pumpkins in their pumpkin fields. The fields were somewhat picked over, but we were able to find enough to everyone's satisfaction. Then, Venice dressed as a Fairy-Mermaid for Trick-or-Treat, Casey went out as Luke Skywalker, Xander donned an outfit as a Golfer, and Teiya hit the sidewalks as a Walking Turtle... |
