| Our Jiichan outings this month included trips to Chuck-E-Cheese, Skinner Butte Park, twice, and bowling. Venice's school had a music evening, and her kindergarten class sang in a musical number about rival cat and dog gangs - very cute. Granny and Jiichan had given Venice and Xander Build-a-Bears for Christmas, and took them out to build their bears - what a great store that is... |
The families all went out to an Asian Faire at the Eugene fair grounds - there were a number of commercial booths selling things, a host of Asian food outlets, a small historical section giving some of the history of Asians in Lane County, and some art work of local artists. There were also a number of demonstrations, including a sculptor ding his work, and a Chinese lion dance with loud drums... |
