| This month marked the beginning of kindergarten for Venice and Casey, and the whole family gathered to celebrate this milestone - there was a bit of anxiety for them both, this being a major step for them, so it was felt a rousing sendoff was in order - AND, rootbeer floats...! - AND, gifts. RooRoo and Poppi, Venice's grandparents, were up from Corona del Mar for the extended weekend, and shared in the festivities. They invited everyone over to their hotel pool for some fun in the sun, which the kids all enjoyed... |
The weather was still holding in a good warm pattern, so much of the month was spent at various parks, including Venice and Casey's favorite, Skinner Butte Park, Amazon Park, more affectionately called the dinosaur park because of the concrete dinosaur there, and a section along the river near the rose garden where they spent time splashing and tossing rocks alongside some playful ducks. This play area is a shallow section, cordoned off by a water break of rocks providing a sheltered wading pool. |
