This was a full month - tons of visits to the Rocklin homestead, all busy with packing for a move north very soon. And, a day visit to the train museum in Sacramento with cousin Casey. This was our second visit with both cousins enjoying the huge trains, walking through the one that shakes on a special device to simulate riding on a moving train, and special time with the Thomas Train set-up upstairs...
The interesting looking foodstuff on the plate was a treat for young'uns achieved by splitting a hotdog so it had 8 dangling segments on one end, and cooking briefly in the micro-wave - called an octi-dog, it was for an upcoming party...

And, while parents trekked back to Eugene to look further at a dream house, and check out other possible homes for themselves, Granny and Jiichan took over the home grounds and cared for Venice and Xander over two nights - after an initial near-meltdown just as Mom and Dad were leaving for the airport, Venice handled the separation just fine aided by crossing days and times on a calendar chart. Xander didn't seem bothered by parents being gone for two days, but he was most welcoming of them upon their return...
