| Teiya loves to sit at the piano and plink away at a tune she hears in her head - at least I think that's what she's doing....And, she sings words to those notes, which is just darling. While Casey accompanied Granny and Jiichan to the Nagai-Tanaka annual family reunion down in Morro Bay in California, Teiya remained with Tori and Paul - but they traveled down to Vallejo to Tracy and Scott's home for a summer gathering of the Merry Makers. Diana and Venice and Xander, and Granny and Jiichan with Casey stopped in for the gathering on their way back from Morro Bay - it was good seeing old friends....Teiya also spends valuable lap time with Nana as she reads a book - ahh, such soothing times... |
We celebrated Granny's birthday at Diana and Chris' - Diana made a fun meatloaf birthday cake with vegetable filler, and a mashed potato frosting with writing in catsup...
Then Jiichan took Casey and Teiya out on a Jiichan outing, Venice being absent due to a cold - Teiya loved the outing to the Science Museum next to the U of O stadium, where Casey took it upon himself to tutor her in the finer points of working the interactive exhibits....We also fed the geese at the river, but there are no photos of that episode, ad Jiichan was holding Teiya high above the snapping bills of the geese - we ended the day at Adams Park, and then back at Granny and Jiichan's for play time with the marble machine... |
