All our families took in the Christmas/Santa parade in Springfield, next door to Eugene - there were floats, fire engines, local high school bands, and horses, with all the charm of a small town parade. Then in mid-month we went north of the city to a Christmas tree farm to cut trees for our homes. The weather was nice and nippy, and everyone bundled up and did just fine...
Then there was the decoration of the trees - Casey helped with the stringing of the tree lights, and Teiya helped with putting ornaments on the tree. |
Then, in the morning of Christmas day, the kids opened presents at home, and then everyone gathered at Diana and Chris' for Christmas dinner and making some fabulous gingerbread houses with loads of sugary candies and treats. And, to add a very nice touch, Tori's parents had sold their home in Powell, Wyoming, and had arrived just in time for Christmas as new Eugenians - so, a hearty WELCOME, Cathy and Keith...
