| Come mid-month the whole family went north of Eugene to Thistledown Farms to check out the pumpkin patch for the Halloween festivities at the end of the month. We crossed a mini-covered bridge to the landing where we caught a horse-drawn trailer to the pumpkin patch - we could have walked, and the weather would have permitted, but the dirt road was muddy from recent rains, so in wisdom we opted to keep dry and unmuddy. Teiya actually was too frightened of the horses to ride the trailer to the pumpkin patch, so she and Tori stayed behind. By the end of the pumpkin patch time, she was ready to take the ride, but it was too late - ok, next year... |
Tori found this garden with specialized trees near the football stadium of the U of O, so we toured the garden to check out the trees - Tori and Paul are interested in possible trees for their future home's yard...
Toward the end of the month we gathered at the home of Diana and Chris for our family's Halloween party - a fun dinner, and then out into the neighborhood for Trick or Treat in search of scrumptious candy treats - Teiya went as the Teletubby, Po, Xander as Anthony of the Wiggles, Venice as a faerie princess, and Casey as a knight... |
