We took a trip to a nearby park, Crab Cove, where Teiya discovered the wonders of puddles - I'm sure she has seen and experienced puddles before, but she thoroughly became one with these. Unbothered by the feeling of cold water invading her shoes and socks, with wet pantlegs, she stomped around and splashed with delight - the cold didn't bother her, as she waded in, though the adults were shivering just watching her. Big brother Casey joined her in the fun, and they both made a splash on the day... |
Teiya has become quite self-sufficient in many ways, wanting to do things on her own. She protests loudly if one tries to take her hand when she knows good and well she can traverse a stretch of walkway covered with algae and is slippery as all get out - doesn't bother her, as she slip-slides along with Simon and Garfunkel. Thanksgiving at Aunt Janet's in Fresno was a blast, as she found lots of grass to run on, and sand to play in. And, she's discovered jumping off of furniture can be fun - heart attack time for the adults... |
