| We took possession of Panorama Drive on January 7th, and spent the first night sleeping on our Aerobed in the play room. The house was spacious and empty of all things, and would remain so for a short two days til the 9th, when Bekins arrived in the morning with our furnishings from storage in Livermore, CA - Door To Door came in that same afternoon with two containers of our things, these having been housed here locally since last May - the living room ended up being the repository for much of our stuff, and Casey and Venice used the piles of boxes as an indoor climbing structure - such fun they had, and it didn't hurt the boxes one bit... |
We took delivery of our new dining room table and chairs, our couch and overstuffed chair and ottoman in the family room around the 10th of the month, and we set up our new HDTV in the family room, too. It snowed shortly, leaving a blanket of several inches of snow on everything - check out the depth of it on the railings on our deck out back. I went out with camera in hand to record the snowfall on our new home - on the way back I slipped on the sloped driveway, ending on my back looking up at the undersides of the evergreen branches - so, what the hell, I took a shot of the tree from my supine position. I also shoveled the driveway once - only once... |
