This month saw many parks for Jiichan's outings with Casey and Venice - Bowling at Emerald Lanes is a favorite, as is play time at Skinner Butte Park, where during the hot summer days water play along the beaches of the Willamette River make for stone tossing fun - splashing good lot of fun, this. The whole family ventured to the Lane County Fair, and checked out the food and cotton candy, and the fascinating animals - one large sow with 8 or 9 wee ones nursing scared some of the younger ones because of her size. She was indeed a large piggy... |
Tori found a park in the northern part of the city, where there were blackberries growing free - fresh berries were a tasty repast for everyone, and everyone escaped being scratched by the thorns.
Because of the warm days, we spent all of them outdoors whenever we could. Casey tested his Halloween costume this month - got it in the mail. Then, we celebrated Granny's 68th birthday with the whole family - of course the grandchildren had to top her with ribbons, and cheered as she blew out the candles. |
