We started the month off with a visit to the Lawrence Hall of Science for their interactive exhibits on Grossology - it was disgustingly off-putting, enough so that Casey decided he didn't want to stay - we'll avoid LHS until the exhibit is replaced with one on the circus in early February. In early October the three Nagai-Beyer-Bailey families trekked north to Eugene and Portland to explore each for our projected move out of California to the North-West come the spring of next year - Granny and Jiichan served as daily grandchildren care-givers so parents could do the actual exploration with a realtor... |
Granny and Jiichan hosted the grandchildren each morning in singles, pairs, and sometimes the whole lot, so parents could get a few more snatches of snooze time. The water fountain is in downtown Portland, and while the weather was just a tad under comfortable, the kids had a ball playing in the water. On our return home it was time again to return to Chabot Space and Science Center and Jack London Square, which have become our sites to explore since we're avoiding the grossness at LHS. We ended the month with a Halloween gathering in Rocklin, where Casey was a T-Rex, Venice a Faerie Princess, Xander a fireman, and Teiya a clown... |
